FAQ FAQ

Q. Will I have to eat Worms?

A. No, unless of course you really want to. We provide very good food on all our courses as well as all the tea and coffee you can drink.

Q. Do I need to buy a lot of expensive equipment?

A. We will supply most of the equipment for the course, but depending on the weather you may need to bring waterproofs , strong Boots or Wellingtons (Not Trainers) and warm Clothing. We do recommend that you bring old clothing as it is likely to get dirty and possibly damaged. For overnight courses you will need a Sleeping Bag, preferably 3-4 seasons rating.

Q. Do I need to have any Previous experience?

A. No, For the majority of our courses you will not need any previous experience. The courses are available to anyone over the age of 16. We also offer courses such as the Family Camp that can accommodate under 16s. Our expeditions or courses longer than 3 days are the only courses requiring previous experience and we recommend attending one of our 2 day courses such as the practical woodsman before attending an expedition.

Q. Do I need to be Very Fit?

A. No, although a reasonable level of fitness is advised because there will be some walking involved.
